Individual therapy

Insurance accepted or self-pay

Insurance is accepted for individual therapy only. I am in-network with:

  • Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield
  • UPMC
  • Aetna

If I am not in-network with your insurance, I can provide out of network documentation (a “super bill”) for you to seek insurance reimbursement. You will need to submit the super bill to your insurance directly for that reimbursement. You can check with your insurance provider to learn more about your ‘out of network’ benefits.

I require a credit, debit, or HSA card on file to charge fees after each session.

Couples therapy

Self-pay only

Link Modern Therapy does not bill insurance or provide a super bill for couples sessions. In couples therapy, the relationship itself is the client—not one individual. The focus is on strengthening communication, rebuilding trust, deepening intimacy, and fostering a more fulfilling connection.

Because these goals do not involve diagnosing or treating a mental health disorder for one person, they do not meet insurance requirements for “medical necessity.”

Self-pay allows for:

  • Greater privacy (less information sent to insurance)
  • No medical necessity reviews
  • More flexibility in treatment frequency
  • No required diagnosis for every concern
  • Therapy focused on goals rather than insurance limitations
